MOBILE (Brazilian Integrated Movement for the Freedom of Artistic Expression) is a network of entities and collectives that act in the defense and promotion of freedom of artistic and cultural expression in Brazil.
The movement emerges as a reaction to the growing censorship and authoritarianism against the Brazilian cultural sector, which go against principles of democracy and the rule of law. Coordinated by the organizations Article 19 and 342 Artes, in partnership with LAUT, Movimento Artigo Quinto, Rede Liberdade and Mídia Ninja, the project aims at the protection and legal empowerment of artists and cultural agents throughout the country.
Check out the project’s full platform and see in this section of the Emergency Agenda, the main cases involving cultural dismantling and restrictions on artistic freedom.
